And some will not allow safe mode off or even any configurable Php(pg.6) . Most of the ones that do these things though are the free or next to nothing hosters we have started a list at our eyeOS Wiki to list what we know of hosters you are welcome to visit it at http://wiki.eyeos.org/Confirmed_Hoster
- You do not have a hoster yet or would like a detected host just for your eyeOS? Safehosting is a official partner of eyeOS, offers virtual servers always fully prepared to deliver the latest version of eyeOS, including support for working with Office files and OpenOffice. - eyeSync is a multiplatform that allows you to keep synchronized any folders of your computer with your eyeOS account. You must only specify an eyeOS server and an account, and then you will be ready to synchronize your data!.
- To start using eyeSync, please install it on your operating system following the normal package installation for your system (Mac, Linux or Windows). You will notice that the look of the application is the same independently of the platform you're on.
- Step 1 - The first time you open eyeSync you should see a warning telling you that you must update your Preferences with your eyeOS Server and account.
- After accepting the dialog, you will be in eyeSync main window.
- Step 2 - Go to Preferences menu and write the URL to your eyeOS server and your account and password. Note that your eyeOS server must end with a slash (/) and must start by http://. For example, if you want to use eyeSync with the public server just type http://www.eyeos.info/. Click on OK to save your preferences and go back to the main screen.
- Step 3 - Click on Add Folder and select which folder of your computer you want to synchronize with your eyeOS. You can repeat this step as many times as you want for each folder you want to synchronize.
- Please note that when you click on Ok, eyeSync will start to sync the data of that folder with your eyeOS. If your system has an events notification system (such as Growl - http://www.growl.info - for Mac OS X), you will see a notice saying that the files are being synchronized.
- You can now work on your files: eyeSync will detect every change on the files that are being synchronized and update them on your eyeOS. Please note that eyeSync won't sync the data from your eyeOS to your local system, but from your local system to eyeOS.
eyeDesigner
- eyeDesigner is the Graphical User Interface Builder for eyeOS. It will help you to create quickly your applicaations' user interfaces
