WARNING
eyeSticks does not work well with the current version of eyeOS.

A new version based on the latest features of the eyeOS core should be released with eyeOS 2.0.

Description

eyeSticks is a small app to "stick" notes anywhere on your eyeOS desktop so that you can keep memos and see them easily. The app integrates an autorun so that it is automatically loaded when you log on.

Alpha 0.2 released.
This release fixes some bugs but...unfortunately...not all of them. I'm still having strange refresh/update problems I'm working on. I hope a first stable release will be available soon. Download here

Alpha 0.1 released.
Warning: this release is an alpha version, which means that it contains bugs and imperfections. Anyway it is functional, and you can try it and report bugs you experience. Download here

Instructions

Install the package (See here).
Log on with any user. Click on the green button on the middle of the desktop, then "Launch App". Type "eyeSticks" and press Enter.
One sticky note appears, you can edit the text, it is automatically saved. Under Firefox, you must do a right-click on the note, then a left-click to be able to edit the text (it's a bug, not mine!).
For the buttons at the top of the note:

  • the wrench opens the sticks management dialog,
  • the "+" adds a new sticky note,
  • the "_" hides the current stick (the stick is displayed no more but you can show it again if you go in the sticks management dialog),
  • the "X" closes the stick and delete it.

Each user must run eyeSticks once manually to register the autolaunch. Then this option can be activated or deactivated through the sticks management dialog.

ToDo

  • Fix bugs
  • Share sticks with other users or groups
  • (Feel free to add tasks!)
