Introduction

eyeOS does incorporate two main parts: The eyeOS Kernel and the eyeOS Base Applications. Mantaining the two branches of the system updated and improved is a tedious work, but provides the best platform for end users, which have access to a complete Web Platform after installing eyeOS.

For this reason, eyeOS Releases (from 1.2.0.0 version) will follow the next schema, which clarifies and specifies the timing between releases and the period to present new projects to be added in the default versions of eyeOS:

Numeration

eyeOS Releases for the 1.x versions follow the eyeOS 1.X.Y.Z.

  • X is the main version number.
  • Y stands for improvements that should be noticed by users and were incorporated after the X.0.0 release.
  • Z stands for small bugfixes added to the current X.Y version.

Timing

eyeOS Team will be releasing a new eyeOS version every two months.

About two/three days after each release, the official Roadmap will be published, and all the work will be centered arround it.

New projects from the Projects List will be accepted for the new release during the first 15 days of development.
