Setting Up Office Microsoft

To get Office support for eyeOS applications on Microsoft Windows 2000 and higher we need to install OpenOffice.org 2. After that we just need to do a small tweak. This article shows you how to proceed.

Apache Server
- Run as Administrator
- Launch "services.msc".
- Go to the dialog "Properties" of your Apache service and choose the "Log On" tab.
- Activate "This account" and click "Browse...".
- Confirm an administrator account and click "Check Names".
- Click OK and save and restart the Apache service.
- Documents and Presentations
- "<ooo-path>" stands for the installation path of OpenOffice.org. The default path is "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.4\".
- Download OpenOffice.org 2 from http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/?product=OpenOffice.org&os=win&version=2.4.2 and install it.
- Copy "extras/OpenOffice/eyeOS.xba" into "<ooo-path>\share\basic\Tools\".
- Edit "<ooo-path>\share\basic\Tools\script.xlb" and add "<library:element library:name="eyeOS"/>" at the end of .
- Go back to eyeOS >> "System preferences" >> "System" >> "Office Support".
- Update the "program" folder path to "<ooo-path>\program\" and click "Save changes".
- Spreadsheets
- Download "7-Zip Command Line Version" from http://7-zip.org/download.html .
- Extract it and copy "7za.exe" into "eyeOSxxxxxxxx/extras/7-Zip/".
